The difficulty is always how to spring a secret proposal and yet be sure that your partner loves the engagement ring. After all, they will be wearing it for the rest of their lives.
There is a solution to this dilemma.
This ring concept began with a bespoke consultation with the bride-to-be, her fiancé and her mother.
The groom asked for a simple wedding band to match the bride’s design.
After preparing alternative designs, the clients chose a stacking heirloom white gold engagement and wedding ring. This had a leaf design curving around her grandmother’s antique diamond solitaire, which was incorporated into the new engagement ring.
To tie the groom’s ring into the set, his ring was designed to be the same width as the bride’s rings, with a matching texture, and all created in the same white gold.
After the design drawings were agreed, the bride was kept in the dark about developments, so that when he proposed she had never seen the actual ring, even in a photo.

Created by hand using recycled 750 / 18ct white gold. The engagement ring incorporates an heirloom yellow gold and platinum diamond solitaire.
