Malta Xaghra Hill Midday Brooch

Malta Xaghra Hill Midday Brooch

The Maltese Hill with the village of Xaghra perched on top, is one of the best known on the small island of Gozo, Malta.

At midday the sky is a stunning deep blue occasionally with trails of cloud.

This brooch is created using traditional repoussé to shape polished silver sheet into a raised form. The glass is recycled Maltese glass which has been reworked and heated to create the perfect shape.

Rabat Malta brooch with malachite is a larger oversized brooch or Malta’s Marsalforn Valley silver & glass brooch is a very unusual design.

Approx size: 5cm (2”) long and 6.5cm (2.5”) wide. Created by hand in recycled 925 / sterling silver and recycled Maltese glass. A single silver pin holds the brooch in place which will bend if forced through thick material so please create a hole with a sewing pin first.
