The design of this pendant is inspired by the hills of Gozo at sunrise. The silhouette resembles a Gozitan hill with steep sides, gently tapering into the adjoining valley. The contrasting glass represents the crystal-clear blue seen early in the morning, highlighted by colours of the remaining sunrise. Created using sustainable satin finish sterling silver, the pendant is formed using repoussé, where silver sheet is hammered by hand into the chosen shape. World famous Mdina Glass has been carefully chosen for this design and re-worked in our workshop.
I have donated this pendant in support of MICAS, the new Malta International Contemporary Art Space.
