My brief was to design a bespoke statement ring based on my client’s star sign. I learned a lot about astrology as I explored the subject. Ultimately she chose a design which is both beautiful and has hidden meaning.

She provided me with a variety of gold jewellery which no longer suited her style, including a pendant with a large blue agate bead.

I recovered the stone and melted the unwanted gold to make thick wire for the new ring.

I have to say this is one of my favourite designs and I couldn’t be happier that the client loves it too.
